Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is an effective and safe medical procedure to eliminate varicose and spider veins. It involves an injection of a solution (generally a salt solution) directly into the vein, which irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and stick together. The vein disappears with time.

Very thin needles or catheters are used for the procedure, so it’s painless and safe. The amount of injections depends on the degree of vein varicose. After the procedure, the patient will have to wear a special elastic sock for 4 weeks.
